At Earth's Own Naturals, we consider ourselves a sanctuary woven from a heartfelt story of love, commitment, and a desire to enhance the quality of life of our family, friends, and treasured community. Our foundation is rooted in compassion and the belief that everyone should feel special, understood, and valued.
Earth’s Own Naturals story dates back to 2014 with founder Laurie Weitzel. Laurie’s husband was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in January and given a prognosis of 9 months to live. While they were not cannabis consumers before, they quickly discovered the comforting potential of cannabis. It was the impetus for seeking a business license to share this plant with others.– The couple received a unanimous yes from the city council and were given the green light to open a retail store. After her husband’s passing in November 2015, Laurie moved forward with their shared dream and opened their first Kimberley store in 2017. Since then, Earth’s Own Naturals has been a beacon for those looking to augment their lives in a natural, safe, and understanding environment. We have also expanded our reach to offer our in-store experience to the beautiful community of Fernie, BC.
